St. Bernadette was a simple young girl of Lourdes, France who saw the blessed virgin, and received much persecution because of it. Devoted to the prayers of the rosary, and beset by ill health, she became a nun, devoting her time to simple work and prayer.

A forum for discussing the dramatic and performing arts as well as films. Genesius, a 3rd century actor, portrayed a catechumen about to be baptized in a play satirizing the Christian sacrament. In the midst of the ceremony he was suddenly converted to Christianity. He was later beheaded by Emperor Diocletian.
